Allergen Information

Care begins before the first bite. Our Himalayan warmth and Asian craft belong alongside clear conversations about the food we serve. If you have an allergy or a specific dietary need, use this guidance to ask the right questions before ordering.

Page updated:

Dish-specific information matters. This page provides general guidance; it is not a current dish-by-dish allergen declaration. Confirm the ingredients and preparation details for your chosen food with the serving outlet before ordering.

01 Before you order

Tell the serving outlet about your allergy or dietary requirement before placing an order. Name the exact ingredient or ingredients you need to avoid, including each relevant nut, grain or other food.

Explain your needs
Say whether your request relates to an allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or another dietary requirement. If ordering for someone else, confirm their needs with them first.
Check the whole dish
Ask about every component, including fillings, wrappers, sauces, seasonings, garnishes and accompaniments, where applicable.
Get a clear answer
Ask for current ingredient information and the relevant preparation risks. If suitability cannot be established, do not order or eat that item.

A menu photograph, dish name or short description is not a complete ingredient list.

02 Reading allergen information

Read the information for the specific item you are buying. Ingredient declarations and warnings about unintended allergen presence describe different things.

Contains
Identifies an allergen declared as an ingredient. Check the complete current information, including the components of sauces or other prepared ingredients.
May contain
Warns of possible unintended allergen presence. Do not treat it as confirmation that a food is suitable for your allergy.
Information missing
A missing icon or warning is not, by itself, confirmation that an allergen is absent. Ask for clarification before relying on an incomplete listing.

Tell the outlet about any ingredient you need to avoid, even if it is not included in a menu’s allergen key.

03 Cross-contact & preparation

Cross-contact happens when an allergen is unintentionally transferred to another food. Small amounts can matter, and the transfer may not be visible.

Ask the serving outlet about the preparation of your chosen dish, including any relevant shared utensils, work surfaces, cooking equipment, oil, storage or serving tools.

  • Removing an ingredient is not enough. Taking off a garnish or picking an ingredient out of an already prepared dish does not reliably remove the allergen.
  • Extra cooking is not an allergy safeguard. Do not rely on heating or reheating to make food containing your allergen suitable.
  • Confirm a preparation request. Ask what the outlet can accommodate and what risks remain before you decide to order.

This page does not establish that a kitchen has a dedicated allergen-free area or that a particular dish has no cross-contact risk.

04 Dietary needs & ingredient changes

Vegetarian or vegan does not automatically mean allergen-free. Those descriptions do not, on their own, establish the absence of an allergen or a cross-contact risk.

For an allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or a medically required diet, confirm the information relevant to your particular needs. The team can discuss food information; personal medical advice should come from your qualified healthcare professional.

Check again each time you order. Recipes, suppliers and available ingredients can change. A previous order or an older menu does not establish the current ingredients or preparation of a dish.

If a substitution is proposed, ask how it changes the ingredients and allergen information before accepting it.

05 Online orders & delivery

Use the contact or support route shown by the serving outlet or ordering platform to resolve an allergen question before completing your purchase.

  • Do not rely only on an order note. A message in a checkout box does not confirm that the outlet has seen, understood or accepted the request.
  • Confirm the exact order. Check the outlet, dish, size and any customisations. Information from another location or an older listing may not describe your item.
  • Check at handover. Make sure the food and any accompanying information match the order and the dietary request discussed.
  • Keep orders identifiable. When collecting or sharing food for a group, confirm which dish is intended for each person before serving it.

If something does not match, contact the outlet before eating. General email may not be read before a meal is prepared or delivered.

06 When something is unclear

If ingredient information is missing, labels conflict or the answer about preparation is uncertain, pause the order and ask the serving outlet to clarify.

Do not taste a small amount to test whether the food is suitable. If the question cannot be resolved, do not order or consume the affected item.

If food has already arrived, keep others from eating an item with a suspected problem while you seek advice. Do not try to correct a suspected allergen error by removing part of the food yourself.

07 If you have a reaction

A suspected severe allergic reaction needs emergency help

Difficulty breathing, swelling of the tongue or throat, collapse or sudden severe dizziness can indicate a serious reaction.

If a severe reaction is suspected, use prescribed emergency adrenaline (epinephrine) immediately as directed, if available, and call local emergency services. Call even if symptoms begin to improve.

Do not wait for a response from Momo Crown or the ordering platform.

Stop eating the affected food. Follow your prescribed allergy action plan and seek medical advice for a suspected reaction. A customer-support conversation cannot replace medical assessment.

Once urgent care has been addressed, you or someone helping you can report the concern. Do not delay treatment to collect photographs, packaging or order details.

08 Updates & responsibility

The date at the top of this page relates to this general guidance. It is not a review date for every menu item, recipe or supplier ingredient.

Dish-specific information needs to reflect the food actually being supplied. If a description or label appears incorrect, please raise it with the serving outlet.

This guidance does not reduce the responsibilities of the business preparing or supplying your food, or your rights under applicable law. You may contact a relevant food-safety or consumer authority directly.

A clear conversation, with care

09 Contact & concerns

For a dish-specific question before ordering: use the serving outlet’s live contact route or the support channel provided by your ordering platform.

For a general enquiry, an information correction or a written report, contact Momo Crown’s public general-enquiries address.

Include the outlet, dish, ingredient you are asking about and, where relevant, your order reference and date. Share only the personal or health information needed to explain the concern.

You can report an issue even if you no longer have the receipt, food or packaging. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

General email is not an emergency service and may not be read before food preparation or delivery. For a suspected medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
